@KristenGotMarried: Oh yes that was pretty good! And it doesn’t hurt that Audrey Amelie’s little doe-puppy eyes just tear into my crusty old soul like butter. I’d watch a movie about her picking lint out of her bellybutton.

@sueanddemetrius: I’ve never seen a sash that made me look slimmer- they usually make me look larger.

@KristenGotMarried: looks absolutely stunning with that sash so I think it depends on you, the dress, and the sash.

@Beluga:  I caught Amelie last night on the story box and fell in love.  I’d never seen it before but heard good things.  It made me want to take lessons du Francois.  And cut my hair SUPER short.

This thread has now been unintentionally jacked.

Sashes!  They can be awesome.

Sashes don’t always mean slimmer, but some dresses are designed to have a sash. Mine looks like something is missing without the sash. OP, even if your dress isn’t necessarily designed to have one it looks AMAZING with the crystal one. It looks like it’s supposed to be there and not added on as an afterthought. It looks great!

@KristenGotMarried: I do see the difference and you look FAB both ways but the Sash just adds an extra pop to the dress.

@Beluga: I live by this every day.

And I agree, sashes should compliment the dress…throwing a random sash on a dress despite the design doesn’t always work.

I find that sashes work best on simpler dresses that perhaps need a pop of color or bling. My Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses have a very long satin sash however they are simpler in design overall making the sash a positive addition.

@Kristengettingmarried: Sash FTW! : )

It’s always good to try one on.
