I would see a fabric sample of each (if possible). If there’s not much quality difference, go the cheaper route!

satin is a weave, polyester is a material. So you can have polyester satin or polyester chiffon or silk satin or silk chiffon. FYI.

I personally hate the shineyness satin usually has. I think the star of the show (decorations wise) should be what you decorate the table with and a tablecloth is supposed to be a base for that. Besides, polyester is usually cheaper.

We’re ordering polyester, which we have in the past for another event, and I really like the texture and color of them.

I haven’t seen satin, but I think the “sturdier” fabric of the polyester would be, feel, and look better… and i also like the flat color over the shine.

And I know that care for the polyester is pretty simple, idk how it would be for the satin.

Idk where you’re ordering from or how many you need but the best prices I’ve found, tax, free shipping over $100, is tableclothsfactory.com

    Hope this helps =)

I selected polyester. Personally, this is what we bought. It was cheaper and it looks nice with our overlay.
