Hi bees, I have a question to ask, and it is due to funding issues. I have been searching for sashes that are priced “nice” for my wedding that isn’t until next year. I have emailed a few people and even sent a payment to someone on this site only to wait 2 weeks not get them and end up opening a paypal disbute. (I got my payment back) so while I have a year to go I wanted to know if it cost more to make sashes or rent/buy them for about 75 people. And in that train of thought the same question goes to table runners. As of last week when i went into the fabric store the satin was 4.99 a yard. I don’t do crafts well and if I have to start this I want to know what I am getting myself into. Any ideas???
PS my Fiance was blah about chair cover and sashes but when he saw the chairs are our venue turned to me and said “we need to cover that up” lol so I feel like we must.

Depending on your budget, I purchased mine from a lady on Etsy. She is wonderful and so professional. Her shop name is BellaCescaBoutique. I purchased my silk sash for about $50 and the replica of the designer cost $400. So worth it to me.

chair sashes? it might be easier to buy a bolt of polyester satin and make them yourself.

I was lucky enough to find a wedding decorator who was closing her business down. I bought 120 satin sashes for $90 – I just had to iron them. It was a pain to iron them all, but I had them for over a year so I just took my time with them. After I was done, I was able to sell them to another bride for…$90!! So I got to use them for free 🙂 I would keep an eye out for a deal like this on kijiji or craigslist.

IMO buy them. i looked into my mum making them but when she looked at some that were ready made they were all edged which would take forever to do yourself. my mum is a great dressmaker and even she said its too much time and effort and to just buy them

I would buy them. This is where I got my table runners http://www.linentablecloth.com/chair-covers-and-sashes/chair-cover-sashes.html?color=Royal+Blue These sashes are less than $7 for 10. You will have to iron them as they ship folded but I don’t think you can make them for cheaper and I was happy with the quality. They tend to have coupon codes on Twitter or if you Google, I imagine oyu can find one.
