    @Jewelieee:  Personally, I prefer taffeta over satin.  I like how it rustles, and I like how it’s much more lightweight.  Taffeta poofs better with a petticoat, because it is so lightweight.  The cost difference would just be a bonus for me, lol.

    Depends on what you want. If you want a lighter dress go with taffeta, just note that it may wrinkle easier so watch how you sit in the car to the location(s), and it makes a russeling noise.  If you want a richer and therefore heavier fabric go with the satin, but it will be heavier both physically and fianically.

    I prefer a bit of sheen but not full on sheen of satin so I would probably go with the taffeta as well.  Lovely dress.
