I did not get “the one” feeling. But I am also not an O.M.G.person and never really pictured my wedding. I picked it because it was comfortable and it looked good on me. I FELT CONFIDENT. Mine isn’t satin.

I orginally picked satin, but then had dress regret and ended up with something similar, but a fabric I liked even better — shantung silk.  I do not regret it AT ALL!  I just wasn’t feeling “it” with lace dresses I guess.

m2016 :  thank you! It’s a Pronovias two piece dress, a strapless dress that comes with a top/jacket to wear on top. I wore the jacket for the ceremony and until after the first dance and then removed it for the rest of the reception.

Get what you love. I am not a satin girl (though some of your dresses are AMAZBALLS!)

I thought I wanted all lace…it did nothing for me. I got a bodice with lace, then a tulle skirt. I felt amazing. And yes, I got the feeling. I couldn’t believe how amazing it was and how I felt in it.

m2016  and UK- Bee:

I LOVE your dresses!  Especially the bow in the front.

I will be getting married in a true vintage late 1950’s-60’s  Satin dress in October. I would say the main pro in  my opinion is the absolutely classic and elegant look they naturally seem to exude .

An honest con, is that well Satin has no stretch or flexibility to it so you have to be very certain of (and maintain) your measurements. My dress also, upon arrival in Germany, needed to be completely cleaned and the wrinkles taken out. I have to be weary of traveling back to the USA with it.

Gahhhhhh these dresses are so gorgeous. I love love love satin (and the shantung silk!) for the glow it has. So clean and classic.

I’m currently waiting for fabric samples so that I can have my beauty made. 🙂 I’m hoping for either a silk crepe or a gorgeous buttery satin.

I did not get “the one” feeling from my dress… It is flattering, blush (I wanted color), and the price was right… It is a taffeta dropped waist A-line… I love it more everytime I try it on.

I knew I would get a satin wedding gown from the start! My DHs family is from India and I wore a lot of Indian jewelry – so I needed a simple dress to pair with it. Once I saw the giant bow I was sold!

I did not find my dress to feel heavy, it felt normal and I could move in it. But I would warn against satin if you’re having a summer wedding in a hot location. Satin can make you sweat. I got married in March and I was very comfortable!
