What about a custom jeweler that makes their own pieces, having something made specifically for you?

@Phofe2774: I think this is a great idea. Contact a good jeweler and ask them to make a ring for you.

Another option for you might be to look at men’s bands that are more intricate. There are a ton of them out there now, and men’s bands come in larger sizes and are also wider, so they would probably look better on your finger. After you find a band that you like, you could have them add diamonds or another type of gemstone to it.

So sorry that you had a bad expreience shopping so far.

Along the custom idea…  What about Etsy?  There are some of the most amazing rings I have ever seen on Etsy.  Maybe contact the sellers of some rings that you may like?  They will most likely be able to accommodate you.  (and you’ll be sporting a beautiful custom ring!)  Best wishes, and please let us know what you select!

Another option…

I don’t know what your thoughts are on moissanite, but I have heard nothing but amazing things about Moissanite Co.  They have so many georgeous rings, and you just type your ring size into the box.  I assume that you can have any size that you want.  They have an “ask a question” feature, so maybe inquire with them to see what they can do for you.

@miss11.11.11:

I think this is a great idea!  However, their return policy states that:

“Very Large and Very Small Ring Sizes: Ladies rings sized above a size 8 and below a size 4.5 are considered special orders and are thus not returnable.”

So you’d have to make really, really sure that you want whatever you order!   Also check out James Allen, Schubach Store (they also can do moissanite, if you want), places like that.   Anywhere they can cast something for you in your size, instead of having to size up or down.  Hang in there, I know you’ll find something you love!  (I can relate, my finger is smaller than average and it’s so frustrating that I can’t shop in store for anything!  I have to order it  GRRR…makes me angry)

Have you looked online?  Most online jewelry stores not only offer a far wider selection in sizes and styles, but they are also ridiculously cheaper!  I have a sapphire from the natural sapphire company; I just checked their website and discovered that most women’s rings come in sizes 4-20 (and they also do custom sizes if you’re fingers are even smaller or larger than those!).  I think someone else suggested moissonite–also a great option! But seriously–check online, don’t look only for diamonds, and you’re bound to find something that will leave you feeling beautiful, not like a freak (which you aren’t!!)!

Also, if you find a ring on one of the websites who does not have diamond, (and if that is what you had wanted) you could still order a setting and have a local jeweler set one of their diamonds.  Don’t be discouraged if the website doesn’t allowed special-order sizes to be returned.  You could always order a stock size to see it in person before placing an order for the correct size.  (Ask about restock fees first.)  There are so many BEAUTIFUL options out there for fingers of all sizes, so don’t feel discouraged…  you’ll find the perfect one:)
