MissBoxerBee:  Are you from the Savannah area or having a destination wedding? I’m having my wedding in Savannah also, but it’s my hometown, so my pastor will be officiating. I know it’s a pain to plan things in Savannah from out of town (that’s what the majority of my planning process has been haha), but I really recommend meeting officiants in person, especially if you found them online. Plan a weekend trip with your Fiance and go talk to some 🙂 If you have any special requests for your ceremony like writing your own vows or having a nontraditional ceremony, those are good things to bring up, as that could easily narrow down your choices! Also if you have any relatives or friends in Savannah who attend church, you might consider talking to their pastors. It might be nice for the officiant to be someone that you have a small personal connection with since etiquette says they and their SO should be invited to the reception and rehearsal dinner if you’re having them.

I am assisting a friend with planning her wedding in Savannah and she is using Tybee Jack. He has great reviews and reasonable in price $250 to do the wedding and wedding rehearsal. You can find his info on Wedding Wire.

I’m using Rev. Joe Wadas for my wedding in October and he has been a pleasure to work with so far.  He books up realllly fast though so be sure to allow enough time.  He really customizes the ceremony based on whatever you want.  He has awesome reviews and a reasonable fee.
