I am getting married in a diffrent state than where most of my guests live. When should I send out my Save the Dates? I am getting married in 2022 and I am itching to send them soon. But I think that may be too soon. What are your thoughts?

I think it’s too soon to send out Save the Dates for a 2022 wedding. People don’t need a 1 year to think on a out-of-state wedding, especially during a pandemic where travel plans change weekly. I’d wait until late spring.

Thank you!!! That makes total sense 🙂

I would send them no more than 8 months before your wedding date, unless you’re getting married in a super popular location (a beach location on a holiday weekend that books up months out, or some similar logisitical problem).

Hi Karawho! For Save the Dates, it is customary to send 8 to 10 months prior so that your out of towners will have enough lead time to plan. So, send just to those who are traveling. For your local folks, you send out about 7 months in advance and your invitations 4 months in advance. Need help with print design – get in touch. https://www.facebook.com/mybelovedwedandart
