I need advice (yet again). While chatting with some of my partners Cousins they asked me if I was going to put the Wedding Website on the Save The Dates. I told them I was not sure at the moment and that I was not aware that was a thing.
So, should I add it? I found it a bit odd as the website will have the address, registry etc (right now it is private and no one can search for it etc). I’ve never seen a S.t.D with the website.

Almost all of the save the dates I’ve recieved have had the wedding website on it. I included it on ours, which I’ll be sending out next week! The main reason is so that guests have access to the hotel room blocks that we booked. We have an accomodations section on our site with direct web links to book rooms.

In my opinion, the entire reason to have a website is so that guests can received more information when they receive the Save the Date. For instance, our save the date says that my wedding is in Chicago. But by visiting the website they can find out where in Chicago and make plans for accomodations before they receive our actual invitation 6 weeks prior to the wedding.
I suppose you could also give word of mouth if you don’t want it printed, but I don’t see why you wouldn’t include it on the save the date.

Yes, I did. Guests loved checking out the site for more info and seeing all our engagement pictures and who the wedding party was.

arriaza415 : yes, I put mine on it and everyone loved looking at our site and it made it easy for some family members that wanted some of the details for setting up travel and hotel room or the early shoppers who wanted to get a gift off of the registry before shower invites were out.

We put our website on our STD. We had a destination wedding, and it had all of our travel and hotel information on it.
If I’m being honest though, besides my mom, I’m not sure if anyone actually looked at our website, because everyone kept calling me to get our hotel info.

Ah. Okay. Thanks for the information! I literally had no idea this was a thing.. glad i asked!

The save the dates I’ve gotten have the wedding website if there was one.
I added it to ours.

arriaza415 : we put our website on our save the dates because although we are getting married in our home country everyone is so spread out they will have to travel and stay so we have them the heads up those details. The website we used enabled us to pick and choose which bits were active and could change it with the click of a button so if you didn’t want the registry information, for example, to be visible you should be able to not activate that section?

To be fair, I have not been to that many weddings and the ones i did attend were quite a long time ago.

I did it so people could get familiar with our website and see photo and read our story even if the logistics information wasn’t available yet. Just made it small and in the corner.

We put our wedding website on both the STD and the invitation (on the back)! People were already asking for it even before they got the STD.
