Hi all! I’m sending out some Save-The-Date Cards for my overseas guests, and I was wondering, do I put on the envelope Mr. Matthew Smith & Guest if we’re inviting Matthew and a guest? Or do we just put Matthew’s name and let the actual invitation note the invitation of a guest?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

I don’t know proper etiquette necessarily. But I did not put "guest" on the Save the Date. Just on the invitation (inner envelope).
Maybe someone else knows if this is "correct" or not.

Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday. I wouldn’t include guest on the envelope – for the Save-The-Date Cards. Things change, you never know who will get an invite and who wont by the time you’re ready to send them out. Also as LM said – on the inner envelope of the invite that’s where it should go. hope that helps.

Nah, probably not for the Save-The-Date Cards.
I didn’t do an inner envelope, and put the and guest on the outer envelope for the invite.

Yeh I wouldn’t do it for the STD’s either, just in case you change your mind about whether or not you want a +1 guest invited. As others have suggested, things do change.

Thanks for the info, I’m facing that question right now as well.
