Our std’s have been out for a few weeks. On the std is the web address for our wedding website which has oodles of information about our wedding. No one and I’m talking, no one has checked it out. I don’t think people know to go there for information. What to do? Do I email our guests and just tell them for all things wedding related, please check out our wedding website and to keep checking back for updates? Or no?

I dont think it would hurt to email people. They also might not be checking yet since it is pretty far from your wedding and not everyone is as excited as we are about the website!

You could email them if you want – it can’t hurt. But I bet people won’t be checking out the site for a while yet – there’s so much time left until the wedding! I know you might feel like it’s almost here, but most of your guests will not be thinking about it for a while. When they’re making concrete travel plans, I’m sure they’ll check it out.

Lol…this is funny because to me, my wedding is BAM…right here. So much to do, so little time.

Yeah, I agree. We did the same thing and not many people checked. Some people didn’t even know the website was on the Save The Date!!!
I would just wait because it is a ways from your wedding.
I added Google Analytics to our website to see how much traffic it gets……..hehe..

i agree, its still far away in your guests eyes. ( i know how ya feel that its so close though!! hell my wedding is in 2011 and i freak out that i have no time —i’m nuts i know this )
i’m sure traffic to your site will increase like 2 months out. I really like the idea of doing an email out to them too a month prior or so.

When it gets closer to the wedding, maybe you could add a link to the site on your blog or Facebook, so it’s easily accessible for your guests. It’s faster to just click a link than to find the Save-the-Date and type in the address, and it could bring over more traffic!
