I think that you can make a great theme out of books/literary but it will require some effort to make it look good.  I say go for it!

Well I think you can put almost ANYTHiNG together when done right…

What kind of formality are you looking for your reception?.. I assume a less formal since it’s a beach wedding but hey you could be doing the best of both worlds.

I know your venue is the beach but are you actually wanting to use that as theme too (I don’t think a venue locks you down.. anythings possible lol) And add books or would you like books to be a primary theme?

We’re having a vintage late 60’s/70’s “All You Need Is Love” theme but I’m incorporating vinyl records as an underlying “music” theme…

I think If I was adding books I might go for a less formal “fun” theme to really just bring the beach out of people.

I think of alot of color kinda like these

Idk if that is what you’re looking for but I’d start with formality and colors… What you want your Guests to remember and just go from there. =)

I think it could be fun, you know like summer reading list or vacation must reads:)

I like this because the book matches the wedding color and there are flowers paired with it:

I think having book-centric centerpieces and other book details wouldn’t detract or clash with your beach venue.  I think it would just add to the personnality and uniqueness of your event.  Good luck!!!

Can you tell me how you did this bookmark? Wondering if you used two pieces of cardstock and what you used to glue it so perfect?

@elliegraye:I am wonderinf how they were attached too. I’m going to start making mine within the next few weeks. I have all the materials other than the adhesive to attach the layers. Glue seems messy, right?

@KelKel524: I want to try some out in the next while too. I picked up some adhesive spray which might work but….I am kinda dumb at figuring out how to line it up so nice…if you encounter any tips, let’s talk!

I LOVE the bookmarks and I LOVE the idea of a book-themed wedding.  I see what you mean about the beach stuff, though.

Could you do a beachy-book as your theme, like Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks?  You could have text from that book everywhere and maybe bottles with messages in them at the tables or something…?
