bananastand:  I love this idea! I just saw some of these in an article yesterday… but it did not explain how they did this…

Option 2 and 3 sound the easiest? I’d vote #3 is the cost is ok.

Youtube? Are there any youtube videos with this?

Stamping sounds the most cost-effective / simple to me… You will want to use a fabric paint to stamp with.

You may want to pickup an inexpensive stamp and paint and try it out. Maybe also try the printing option too…. see how they go.

bananastand:  They iron-onto the fabric, so that the design is fused onto the center of the fabric.  So you’d have to do each one individually as I did each photo. You can’t re-use them as they fuse to the fabric. I do believe that you could cut the iron-on sheets to the size you need for the center of each.  Then iron on the design.  I used photos, not script, but they came out good and lasted quite a while. Just make sure that you iron them long enough so they don’t lift up.  The photos are crackly now, but this is after 10 years (and it’s a quilt that’s been used, folded, unfolded etc.)

How are you mailing them?  What kind of box/envelope are you using?
