I think it looks lovely bee!

I have never seen anyone use a photo of themselves on the actual wedding invitation because there is so much information and text that you need to fit in. That’s why most people who do use a photo use it for their save the dates. But you don’t need to use a photo at all if you don’t want to, we definitely didn’t want to use one of ourselves on any of our stationery.

Itt is lovely. Just center up the date under “save our date” and you are all set!

I think that’s really pretty! If you’re going to use a photo, most of the time that’s on the save the dates rather than the invites, but you could also use it for your thank yous or just not use a photo at all! I think your design is romantic, modern, and simple and I love it personally!

If you’re set on using a photo then use it for the save the date.

The card looks fine.  However if you’re actually trying to save money, save the dates are optional and email is free.  You can just tell people on the phone or in person or by email to save the date and an invitation will be forthcoming if you feel people really need advanced notice to plan.

I suggest you add a link to your website of you have one. That way you can make other information available before the invitations are mailed.

I don’t think the photo is necessary unless you really want to include a photo.  Generally speaking, it’s very cute and will print up beautifully. More specifically, how many letters are in your first names? I am wondering if it might look more balanced with the ampersand in between the names instead of on the same line as your fiance’s name.  As a PP suggested, center the text throughout.  You may also want to consider sizing down the Save our Date text just a touch as it feels larger than your names, which I think should be the star of the card.  Also, maybe add space between the location and formal invitation lines.

introester :  Personally I don’t like photo’s for save the dates. However, for mine, I also included a copy of one of our engagement pictures I had printed, in case anyone wanted them.

I really like yours, I think linen paper would go beautifully with it. I printed my invites (also a floral style) on linen paper and I adore it. It just feels so luxe in your hands.

My only criticism is I think the ‘save our date’, date, location (basically the bottom half) is too large. And the whole thing looks off center. Make sure the design is centered! Otherwise lovely!

I agree with PP to center everything up and to add your wedding website. Otherwise I think it is reall pretty!!

If you don’t use a photo I would make sure you include both your first and last names on the save the date itself or somewhere on the envelope (return address perhaps?). I mean, you’re fine if you have distinctive names or sending to a small group of close family/friends who would know exactly who you were, but I could totally see myself getting something like this and thinking, wait, which “Jane” and “Thomas” are we talking about here? (Or maybe that’s just me??)

Adding a wedding website would also help clear that up for people!

I would not put a photo on the invite but I think it’s fine on std because in a way it is an engagement  announcement. That one is pretty.

I’ve usually seen photos on save the dates and thank you cards, with the actual invitation only having information. But I like that card, I think you could build an entire stationary suite with it.
