Hi All,
I’m new to the Wedding Bee board and am really excited to be apart of the beehive
Heres my deal: I’m hoping to send out my "Save the Date" cards (or wtvr) within the next few months…
Here is my idea so far, so the colors for my wedding reception are Orange, Fuchsia and Gold, and I’m having
an elephant theme!!!
So bellow you will find a beautiful piece of art that I’m planning to purchase from istock and have my graphic designer,
incorporate a pic from my engagement shoot on it with the date of the wedding. I was planning to make these Save the Date
cards as MAGNETS and place them in a card sleeve with a monogram on the front. (magnets aren’t that common in the South Asian community,
so I’ll probably still get a wow factor out of some guest)….BUT I want something more UNIQUE….
Anyone have any ideas that they’ll like to share?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!
Thanks in advance!!!!

If you are going for unique…I think you did it! Your theme is very unique (and very beautiful!) and if magnets aren’t common in the South Asian community, the recipeints will think they are unique too (not to mention useful)! I love your idea of putting it in a card holder.
Another idea is to make a postcard. The front can have the colorful elephant image and the back left can have your engagement picture on top with wedding info on the bottom. The address will go on the back right. "Beautiful blooms" postage stamps will also bring those colors to the card!
Keep us updated with how your wedding comes together; I’m sure it will be gorgeous. You are off to a great start.

Thank you so much Jess!!!
Do you think it’ll be corny to use an elephant shape magnet?

In my opinion, I see your paper sample and its rich colors as bright, elegant, fun, and refined. The elephant-shaped magnet doesn’t match; it implies something more light-hearted and casual.
Can you get a magnet shaped like the one on your paper? That would coordinate better.

Hmm..I agree it is much more casual and thats not the impression or the look I’m going for.
I don’t think I’ll be able to get textured paper, but my graphic designer said she can make it look three dimensional and as such more interesting.
Thanks again!

you can use vistaprint and upload your own design to have printed directly on their large magnets (I believe they are A2 postcard size). They have decent prices and typically offer a get 10 free deal as long as you pay for shipping.
