I’m making my own save-the-dates to save money for our invitations, which are awesome but also expensive. So, I’ve been stamping return address lables on our envelopes, hand writing the addresses, and stamping the backs with an awesome robot stamp and another that says “save the date”.
Inside is a timeline of our relationship under our first names and the info for the wedding date/location.
I’ve stuffed and completed about half the envelopes and just realized that our last names appear NOWHERE on our save the dates!!
Our return address label has only our first names so we can use it even after we get married and I change my last name.
I’m so glad I realized this before sending them out- some of our parents’ friends or distant relatives would have no clue who the save-the-date was for! I’m not sure where I’ll add our last names, but I’ll have to find a spot.
Just thought I’d share our hilarious mishap. Double check that your last name is on your save-the-dates!
Any stories of mistakes like this are welcome. Did you have any hilarious mishaps?!
