If you have kids, are you including their picture on the save the date? My FI and I have a 1 year old daughter. While I love her to death and am excited to make us all a family, my FI and I kinda want to keep our save the date picture as just the two of us. Does anyone see anything wrong with that? We took pictures with her together, and I plan on using them in the future.

Daenaria727: I see nothing wrong with the pic including just the two of you. You can use the pics including her for Christmas.

We have two kids, but we did not include them in our save the date picture. I don’t see anything wrong with it. Our children are included in the wedding, but I did not feel they needed to be on the save the date. I actually tried a family picture when I was creating it, but then it looked like holiday cards that we send out perodically rather than a save the date. I don’t see anything wrong with including the child(ren) on a STD if that is what someone wants to do, but I chose not to.

Daenaria727: We will not be including the kids in the ones chosen to use for the wedding.
We are doing a family session at the same time but it is more to save money by having one shoot and have photos for Christmas cards.
***OMG! I don’t want to include my kids in something else yall! (not directed at you OP, but some people will read and get it).***

I have been in the same debate. Our girl just turned 2 and while we are doing a special thing for her in our ceremony next year…I think I want the save the date picture time and those to be a thing for US. We are still individuals…we just have a kid too. Not everything can be about them even though we always put them first =) Hardest….balancing act….ever.

I don’t have kids, but I would say not to include them in the save the date. I see nothing wrong with it at all. As a prospective guest, I wouldn’t expect a family photo for a save the date anyway. Good luck with this decision.
