- Wedding: December 1969
My fiance and myself have recently moved to Texas from IL. Our original plan was to still get married in Illinois, and I would have my mom and my bridesmaids help me plan, since it really wouldn’t be possible for me to constantly keep going back and forth. However, the more I have thought about it, the more I’d really like to be a part of my own wedding planning, and reallly be involved. Also, the more venues that I look at here in Texas, the more I see that I like these venues here better, plus they are significantly cheaper and more in our price range. So my fiance and I have come to the decision together that we would like to get married in Texas.
So, here’s my question. I’d like to send out a Save the Date waaaay in advance since most of our guests would have to travel and make travel plans if they plan on coming. So I would like to put a poem of some sort on our save the date, saying something about how we understand that it’s far, and as much as we would like everyone there, we know that it may not be possible. I’ve searched online and I just cant’ seem to find what I’m looking for, and writing poetry is not my strong suit. So any help would be greatly appreciated!! 🙂
