Has anyone used saved the date postcards, without envelopes? I am wondering how that worked out. It’s look way cheaper, but the website address for our wedding will be on that. anyone have any bad or good experience doing this? I know envelopes might not be that much more expensive, but I was considering this approach. 🙂

I haven’t done this before, but i did send out postcard christmas cards one year. It worked out fine. The only concern is that since there is no envelope protecting your postcards, they would likely have been manhandled and maybe sort of crumpled, not in the best shape by the time they arrive. Its a risk you take, but if you are trying to save money, it is probably worth it.

Our save the dates were postcards! We had our wedding website on it too and had zero issues. The only thing we messed up was ordering one for every guest instead of one for every family/unit.

I sent out STD postcards and they worked fine! I spent a total of $13 for 100 of them through a Vistaprint deal and they did the job just fine!

LilRhodyGem: Did you have anything written on the back of the post card or all on the front? I was looking into Vistaprint for mine because they ALWAYS have Groupons.

I have seen many save the dates as post cards, and they have always come looking nice. (Cheaper postage too!)
We sent out our STD as picture prints that included envelopes because we did a christmas card.
https://www.etsy.com/transaction/167119862, we paid like $15 and printed them through shutterfly, where we got the first 50 prints for free.
Etsy has some really cute postcard designs for STD if you haven’t already decided on a design.

We WERE going to do this, but our text on the back of the card kind of grew as we included a note on there with our website and we hoped people could join, our travel agent’s info, etc, so there was no space for the address. So we ended up putting them in envelopes. But I like the look of postcard save the dates (obviously, lol).
