I would do an A and B list with your invitationsnot  your STDs.  However, if you decide to do this, be sure to send STDs only  to your A list.

@whitemochi622:  sorry- didn’t mean to worry you, you sound extremely organized! I think the only thing I would worry about as the bride is that people will say yes and then change to a no closer to the date. What is your RSVP date? Is it on your save the dates somewhere?

@whitemochi622:  Cute pictures, but I agree with PPs:

Sending STDs to give guests heads up so they can plan travel = good idea.

Asking guests to RSVP 8+ months before the wedding = not so good idea.

Some people might know their plans 8 months in advance, but the majority don’t.  I’d bet money that you get a lot of people changing their response or just not RSVPing until a few months before the wedding.  Unless you were a very close friend or family memeber, there is no way I could commit to a June wedding in October.  I’m very surprised your cousin said it worked well for her…

I guess my biggest concern is what would happen if a guest RSVPs no, but then changes their mind several months later.  Are you going to be able to accomodate said guest?  When do you expect everyone to RSVP by?

I don’t mean to rain on your parade, I just want to save you possible headaches…

😛  I wish I’d seen this earlier. Cute idea!
