(Closed) Save the date sent – but now he doesnt want to invite people?

It’s rude to send a save the date then not send an invite. I personally have a friend who has a save the date to my other friends wedding, but didn’t receive an invite. It makes it awkward for everyone around it.

Maybe try approaching it from the persepctive that you have already invited them.  The STD is a form of invitation.  So they have already been invited, only that you are now following up with the details.

He’s trippin’…you can’t do that, as now they are expecting an invitation at some point. Have someone else explain it to him….sometimes my fiance’ thinks Ive turned into some overly ettiquite concious person, and in some respects maybe I have….but there’s such thing as basic manors and this is one instance.

@mags2233:  Just pull rank, he doesn’t need to get it or approve, just send out the invites to the same people you sent the save the dates too.

ask your Fiance to also withdraw the invites to his friends who received STD cards and see what he says to that
