Have you already booked your venue and vendors for 12/3?  If so, check with them on how much is would cost to change the date and decide if it’s worth it to you to spend the extra money on resending “oops” Save-The-Date Cards and possibly losing deposts and vendors.

Personally, I think you’re worrying about nothing.  The holiday are a great time to get married – there’s so much cheer and happiness that it will extend to your wedding and really let you bask in the glow of it all.  🙂  And it’s so early in December you won’t need to worry about running up against Christmas parties or people being stressed.  Not to mention, weather in October is unpredictable and may not guarentee you good weather.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

I would talk to your venue first..October is prime wedding season so I would see if it is even a possiblity at this point most places are booking into Oct 2012 already.

Is there another one of these out there? I posted this on the other one…

FIRST make sure all the vendors can change their dates. If everyone can do the new date I would for sure send out new Save-The-Date Cards. A friend of mine changed from a 2010 wedding to a 2011 and had a cute picture card made up that said, 2010 is SO last year! Save the New date! And they included a pic of the two of them, he was holding a ripped calendar month (there whole date) and she was standing next to him with the new date and a thumbs up. It was SUPER cute!
