I’d probably send the save-the-dates out at least nine months in advance. And then I’d send invites out at least three months in advance.

Maybe end of September? I don’t know all the rules, depends on your guest list, with families, it’s nice to know and plan after the craziness of beginning of the school year passes. But not too late that planning for the holiday season has arrived.

tomkitty :  We are almost date twins, ours is May 26th. I’m planning to send it Sep/Oct. I dont have it ready and I have not even planned what kind it would be haahha. We literally came up with the date last week πŸ™‚ Most of our guest will be driving 1-2 hrs and 30% will be flying in.

It would be great to know how far are you with your wedding planning- that will prolly keep me on my toes (I’m a procastinator πŸ˜‰ )

Our date is the weekend before Christmas of 2018 and I totally intend to send STDs 9 months to 1yr in advance.  And I’m thinking invites will go out in August.  I know that’s way earlier than the typical guidelines but I don’t see too much wrong with giving guests advance notice so they have plenty of time to plan accordingly.  It’s a bigger request for people to travel out to you during a popular vacation time they’d usually use for family outings, or during times when hotels are more expensive and fill up quicker, so I think extra early notice is appropriate.  I guess the only drawback I can think of is maybe you’ll wish you could tweak the guest list a bit later and it’ll be too late because the STD already went out, but if you’re pretty confident those relationships aren’t going to change then I think sending a STD in Sept/Oct is fine.

I would send the save the date as soon as possible. It’s a Sunday in the middle of a holiday weekend. Many people will want to go away so better to let them know in advance as possible.

tomkitty :  No need to be stressed about it, but I’d send them ASAP. I’m already planning my holidays for 2018.

tomkitty :  OMG we were almost ring twins too. I had my heart set on Tiff. soleste which is the exact same design as you have ( I took a peek at your ring πŸ™‚). Long story short after looking and looking I went with a classic Tiffany but I still luv soleste too and is on my list of things to get at some point in time as RHR 😍 Your ring is gorgeous – reminded me that I’m still in luv with it.

Wow! you are some planner girl, you have it all set. I need to  step up my game 😳 so far I only have venue booked. Since it is at a resort I can say my rentals, caterer, bar, co ordinator is booked πŸ˜ƒI still need to choose my menu and cake and center pieces plus bouquets. Omg I just realized i have not done much at all. I m a notorious procastinator …. πŸ™ˆ Thank God I dont need to worry about his suit as he is opposite me – he gets everything sone on time 😎 Also, I’m sure your Fiance will get  his suit on time and he will look amazing.
I feel like I’m emailing my fren right now – Thank you so much, you are my go to person now if I have any questions πŸ€—
