I posted this on another board but got no response so maybe its better I post here.
Let me explain. My husband and I are going to have a 20 year Vow Renewal in May. We are still going to do it in Vegas on Saturday but we have people who we know cannot financial make the trip, and some are too ill to make it, and we want them to be involved as well. So we have decided to do 2 VR. One for the peole who cant make it (and that is on Friday night) then Head to Vegas on Saturday for the fun one with all of our friends and family because we really want this done by Elvis, we have talked about it for years.
That being said, should I send out 2 save the dates? One for Vegas, and one for here? Tell me how would you handle this situation?

Honestly, I think you should do just one vow renewal. What about playing a video of the original renewal at the 2nd party.
I don’t think it is in the best taste to invite people to the same event celebrated on 2 different days in 2 different states. Guests that are really interested in attending both could receive 2 different invites, and those invited to just the one get one.

Sending out 2 save the dates would be super confusing to the guests… I know I’d end up calling the couple to ask what was going on. Either invite one group to one event and a separate group to the 2nd event, or just have one vow renewal and then party with some friends in Vegas the next day and go out to a restaurant or something.

I actually found a solution… We are going to have a traditional Vow Renewal here in town on May 10th, THEN the following weekend we are having our fun funky non tradtional vows with Elvis the following weekend. Our friends know who they are that are invited to that one:)
So all is well. I was just panicing for a moment, but figured it out:)
Thanks for all your help.
