Hope everyone is doing ok! I’m a little confused and not sure of what I need to do, so any help/opinions will be GREATLY appreciated:)
We’re getting married September 24, 2011. We got engaged on Easter Sunday. Is it NECESSARY for us to send Save the Dates, when our invitations will be going out mid July anyways? I know most people send the Save The Dates, many months before their invites even go out … but I’m not even sure now?
ALSO — if we were able to get a little deal with Save the Dates on a Magnet, would it be appropriate to throw it in with the actual invitation?
Thanks Bees!! 🙂

Save the dates are not nessisary at all. They’re really only needed when the wedding is far away and guests may need a long time in advance to book flights and such.
I think it would be cute to have a little magnet with your date on it in the invitations!

@DeathByDesign: That just took a huge weight off my shoulders! lol. I just got to thinking, it might even annoy some people to get a save the date and then just get a invitation right after. Maybe include an engagement picture on a magnet with our wedding date in the invitiations, sounds like a GREAT idea:)

We’re getting married September 17th and we didn’t do Save-The-Date Cards either. They are a fairly new thing (at least in my area). As long as you’re not having a destination wedding and/or have a ton of out of town guests, you should be fine.
