I’m trying to decide if it’s really worth it to invest in Save The Dates. I definitely can see why they would be great for those that are out of town, but don’t know if it’s really worth it to get them for everyone. Do you think it would be bad to just buy enought for those guests that really live far away or is that rude to not give them to everyone?
Also, any suggestions on where to get them for a reasonable price. I have almost 300 guests and don’t want to break the bank on just these since I still have to buy stamps for them! I have check out Vistaprint but those still seem to be a little high.
Thanks for all suggestions!

We got ours through Wedding Paper Divas. They offer discounts all the time (just Google search “Wedding Paper Divas coupon code”). We also did postcards to save a little money on postage.
I don’t think save the dates are necessary. A lot of people don’t do them. We decided to just because we wanted to!

I spent $9 on my save the dates. We made “cootie catchers” aka fortune tellers (the kind you made in middle school!). We got really pretty paper from Michael’s on sale and did them ourselves. Everyone loved them. I think they’re cute but I don’t see the point in spending a lot of money on them! And good luck! 300 guests? Holy crap!

Thanks ladies! I think I’m loving the postcard idea to save money and yes 300 guests!! Whew, I’m hoping that number will go down after we get RSVPs next year! Thanks again for the suggestions, I will check them out.
Grateful to now BEE apart of this site, 😉

I’m DIYing mine and just printing them from my home computer. I’ve thought about not sending them to everyone. Theres some people that I know aren’t gonna come i just have to invite them anyway. I see no reason to waste the money on a STD for them. I’m sure you can get your number down. Also hand deliver all the ones you can!
