- Wedding: June 2014 - San Francisco, CA
Darling Husband and I eloped in June of this year, and will be having our “reception” on our first anniversary. We already have music, space, and photographer lined up (specifically, DJ and photographer friends of ours offered to do it all for free as a wedding gift without us asking, otherwise not sure we’d be that formal about it!) It’s going to be a couple of quick readings and speeches, maybe some live performances from musician friends intermittantly, and mostly just a big excuse to drink Napa wine and eat food truck fajitas in the sun with everyone we care about. A BUNCH of people (30+) have already verbally confirmed the date and their attendance, including several who will be flying to get there. More than one couple will be coming from overseas.
Due to the casualness of the event, we’re really not picky about our guestlist as long as it totals under a certain number (210). Still, we’d like to let people who want to come start planning. We were thinking of doing a STD maybe 5 months out, but we’re not sure if that would be appropriate, or how it should be handled. Does anyone have thoughts? How have you handled a similar situation?
