- Wedding: July 2011
My fiance and I both decided early on we wanted to do a destination wedding and had high hopes that we would not be on our own. Shortly after we became engaged and starting sharing with family it became clear we were on our own. After many talks we are both fine with it and our family and friends are too. My question has to do with save the date cards. I want to get them sent out so that all friends and family will attend our reception.
We are getting married in Negril, Jamaica on July 13, 2011 with a reception to follow on July 23, 2011 back home. I am looking for wording suggestions to let friends and family know this is a celebration of marriage in Jamaica.
Should I leave out Jamiaca all along? Is it strange to put two dates on a STD? Confusing? I am looking for any advice and/or suggestions.
My other question has to do with that reception. Is that more common these days? We are getting a DJ, Cake and food for our family and friends back home totally about 60 people. How do you keep all the “classic” wedding moments a week after our actual marriage?
Thanks for any and all advice!
