Hi Bees, we were planning on sending STDs out first week of August… so I had some more time to process this “shit just got real moment” and there’s no eloping or anything (after the save the dates are sent but) with the Canada Post strike lockout postponed for 30 days (announced yesterday) we figure we need to send them ASAP, as god only knows what the situation will be like in August, I want the STDs to teach their destination the sooner the better and not het stuck in transit during a strike…. But because our send day got pushed up by like 3 weeks Im a ball of nerves, freaking out… can anyone else relate or am I just crazy? (FFIW I suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and on meds) I have like 5 family members and a couple friends ans Fiance has a huge family.. so we have 120ppl on the guest list and we figure (knowing his family and the logistics involved) that it will be an 80ish people wedding… anyhoo, STDs need to be send out today-tomorrow and Im just so nervous cause I always pictured having a tiny wedding and then met Fiance and his awesome huge family…and Im kust “not ready to send out the STDs” HALP!! 😣

It’s so terrifying! Our invites are also going out today now that the strike has been postponed (thank goodness!) It’s not the mairrage commitment that scares me, it’s the event planning and monetary commitment. After this there is no turning back – we are planning huge events with all of our closest family and friends! I’m really bad at making decisions for myself and for other people, so asking people to invest their time and hard earned money to come to our (destination) wedding, stresses me out. It will be fine, everything will fall into place.
You’ve got this bee. Everyone is going to be so excited to receive those Save the Dates! Get ’em in the mail 😉

I didn’t have to deal with a postal strike, but no, sending out STDs did not terrify me. Nor does sending out invites. I had already created a budget and (mostly) stuck to it.

Just spoke to Fiance onthe phone told him Im freaking out… so we decided to drop them off at the post office tomorrow evening before or after the meeting with the photographer (putting the photography deposit tomorrow!! Eeeeek!) My Fiance is the sweetest man ever, he said we gonna do it together so Im less freaked out, he’s so hood at calming me down and helping me out when I’m freaking out :))))

omg!!! I could have written this post!!! I suffer from terrible aniexty. I also hate the feeling of being “stuck” and once sonething is done, there is no turning back. Im having same exact reaction to having to put more money doen on venue on 7/23/17. Im freaking out!!!
Its scary IMO, its a commitment and a big one at that. Especially when you feel like there is no turning back lol. Stay postive, afterall its very exciting. You live once and its really just a big party at the end of the day. Thats how i have been looking at it and its been helping.
PM if u ever need to vent. I can totally relate. Best of luck!
