i’ve got our invites designed too. but i need to tweak the colors before i post them.
but here’s option one for our save the dates. i’m making a couple different ones, just to give him options to choose from. plus, the extras will be saved as samples for my portfolio and etsy shop.
opinions are welcomed (: i’m open to suggestions.

I love everything but the background. I think it competes with the shirt of your Fiance…but I’m no expert here…but am visual. Is the red the exact red as your shirt? I can’t tell…the lettering looks more brick-coloured and the shirt more cherry. Great job, though!!! 🙂

@fivemonthsnotice: i agree about the background

I like the background but I’d make the V of the chevrons centered between the photo and the text box- its off centered now. I’d also brighten the red color to match your shirt so it would pop more. Also, capitalize “for” when you start talking about your website.
Edit: maybe put a thin black border around the photo & text box? Not sure if this would look better or not, but worth a shot.

okay. i took out the chevron background as suggested. and i made the red the same color as my shirt.
i have the “for” in lowercase because the whole url is lowercase. i tried it capitalized, and it looked funny to me. my graphic design student brain cringed. it looks weird in all caps as well. :/

Honestly, I’d pick a different photo. You look so serious! Do you have any of the two of you smiling?

The second background looks better than the first, otherwise lovely!
