Wow, you girls are on the ball!! My wedding coordinator told me to send our Save-The-Date Cards out around Christmas time. We’re having a destination wedding in August, and I read that 8 months in advance is a good time to send them out. You girls rock for being ahead of the game!! Wish I was as organized as you all!

We will be sending ours out in December. Engagement pictures are one week from Sunday! Then we’ll be putting a nice picture on a magnet (using MagnetStreet). I might wait it out for a good deal, since we have some time. These weddings will be here before you know it girls!

Our date is August 18th and I am getting ready to send them out…my goal is to put them in the mail October 1st. Our wedding is semi-destination (2.5 hours away) for over 1/2 our guests so I wanted to give people ample time to plan and book hotels etc. I bought them off of Etsy months ago but thought it was a good idea to hand address over 250 postcards (oh the crazy things weddings will make you do) so I am just ready to get them out of the house!

Oh my. Ours isn’t destination, but long distance for a few people. We haven’t done engagement shots yet, but I want to have the cards sent by the beginning of the year… Maybe it will be in December instead!

I haven’t even started gathering addresses yet!

@KatieJean:  Yup!  Damn postal service, haha.  Gathering addresses isn’t too hard.  I did mine on the knot.  I liked it because you can use it for other things guests lists too (like make multiple parties) like bridal showers or rehearsal dinners, and just import the addresses in.

@jacinda10: Ooh nice. I’ve been working with Google Docs so I don’t have to carry a flashdrive with me everywhere. I’ll have to check out the Knot!

@KatieJean:  I’ve been thinking about switching to googledocs, honestly! haha.  The knot stresses me out, it tells me I have like 500 tasks to complete before the wedding.

I know mine isnt until October, but I have family from out of state. Want to give them plenty of time.

Plus I will be sending out STD magnets. That way they will put it on their fridge and be reminded of it everytime they go to their fridge. 🙂

@Earlybride: I’m doing magnets too!  Well I did a magnet and a card, but they are exactly the same.

@katiesee:  Thanks I designed them myself in Illustrator and then had them printed via Vistaprint.  I could always give you the template if you wanted, or change the wording around for you if you wanted to use them but don’t have Illustrator!  And then you could get it printed thru Vista.

@jacinda10: Doesn’t it feel like that at times, though? 😀
