We are sending our save the dates out 8-9 months in advance since our wedding is a semi-destination wedding. Should I send save the dates to my co-workers if I only plan to invite them if they still are my co-workers at the time of the wedding (or rather, when we send invitations). I am 90% sure I will still work there at that time. It might create an awkward situation later on, but I also want to treat them like any other guest and give them the notice to book their hotel or just to “save the date”. What do you think?

I’m glad you asked this question!! I have the same situation – I used to live/work in NC and our wedding is in MN. 🙂

Hmmmm, that’s a tough one. I didn’t send save the dates to my co-workers, but I only invited 2, and they pretty much knew all my wedding plans anyway. Maybe send the co-worker save the dates later than the other ones? When you are more sure of everything? You can really send save the dates anywhere from 6-4 months prior to the wedding.

I wouldn’t send it to them just now. You should only send save the dates to people who you actually plan on inviting to the wedding. Otherwise what will they have saved the date for?
