- Wedding: May 2012
we’re trying to be as green as possible for our wedding, and so we sent out electronic save the dates this morning.
i’m a web developer so i created a web site, used developer tools to create a complimentary color palette for our wedding, and worked with my man of honor, who’s also a really talented designer, to create a really beautiful save the date. i’m really happy with the result:
the yuck part though:
i created a new email address through gmail to match our domain name since i didn’t want to set up my own smtp server. sending out 80 bccs with a new email address got the account flagged and still, 10 hours later, only about half the people i’ve asked have received their save the dates. i haven’t even gotten the test ones i sent to myself :-
also, the masses are going crazy, i haven’t had a single spare moment away from the pings of “congratulations” and “when should i book” and “can i just rsvp now” which is awesome. i love our friends and family and their enthusiasm. it just all feels… sorta… well… stressful for lack of a better word.
