Trying to think of a cute way to send out Save the Dates/”We are Engaged” and “We Moved”/”New Address” cards. We move in a month and the wedding will be in July 2010. I thought about doing it in early November before I have to worry about Christmas cards….or do I just do all 3 together..I almost think that is too much!
Thanks in advance

I am getting married in June 2010 and I am sending my Save-The-Date Cards out in Oct/Nov to beat the holiday mail, so I totally support that idea. I think its a good idea to get the stuff out before the holiday stuff. I also think adding in the new address would be a great idea so you will get any mail sent to you during the holidays. Maybe print it front and back so that it is only one piece of paper or maybe a folded card.

How about working from a theme of “something new”? You could do a skinny, vertical z-fold card.
The first section would say “something new”. You could put a diamond on top of the “O” in “something”, and then maybe add a postage stamp design with your photo and names on it. The second panel would have “we’re engaged” and save the date info, and the third one would say “we’ve moved” and your new address.
For an extra cute touch, you could add a “for your calendar” sticker to the save the date bit and then maybe a “for your address book” miniature pen or pencil to the new house panel?

I love the idea of doing it all together with the “For Your Calendar” with a sticker attached of your date and then “For Your Address Book” with a mailing label attached of your new address. OOOOO I love it! The front of the card coud be a simple save the date message.

Maybe something like, “The times, they are a-changing” on a postcard. I think that’s a song. Definitely include the engagement announce/STD and new address in one. And definitely beat the holiday rush so it doesn’t just get lost in all the holiday card hysteria.
