I was at a wedding that had all the GMs and ring bearer wearing 2 buttons.  It was uniform and looked really really cute.  The BMs at this wedding had fold out fans.  I really loved it.  If you’re doing an outdoor wedding, having the BMs use parasols may be another option instead of flowers.  I’ve also seen colorful clutches instead.  Or even having them carry a single flower.  The mom’s could wear fabric flower corsages.  They’re cheaper and last forever.  If you can DIY, that’s even better.

I’d definitely DIY, search Etsy or order wholesale and make your own with live flowers. And/or find another florist. Most will work within your budget to get flowers that don’t put you over the edge. I have seven bouquets for me and the bridesmaids and the moms, nine bouts for the groom, his men, two ushers, and two dads and two corsages for the grandmas. That’s only costing us $550… and I have garden roses, dahlia, ranunculus, astilbe, button mums, stock, scabiosa… that’s a lot of flowers. If you’re in the St. Louis area I can recommend a great florist to you, but otherwise good luck! Don’t let someone make you go over your budget- they can make it work for you.

I got fake flowers from a woman off Etsy and they are comming out beaituiful. I am getting a Brides Bouquet, Maid/Matron of Honor bouquet, three bridesmaid bouquets, a throw away and four corsages at $295. Mine was a custom order as she added lemons and limes to mine. She does a special for I believe 150 that includes brides, moh, 3 bm, and 5 boutineres (sp?). If you would like more info or pictures of the ones she is making me now feel free to pm me and I can give you all the info!

We didn’t do flowers for any of the men.  It didn’t look weird and they all seemed to appreciate it.  It made things more affordable.

@Twista: I am not doing flowers for the men either. I feel as if it is weird too and I think they will appreciate it also.

We skipped boutonieres for the boys as well.  They weren’t really into wearing them, and we went with a pocket square that came with their tux rental.

you could just leave out the boutonnieres for the boys like other previous posters stated. Thats what we did…my now husband was in his air force mess dress and couldnt wear one so I figured no one should…and it saved us some money too
