I will be having a “picnic style” wedding in New Zealand, held in a garden. We are getting the main meal part of the reception catered for but for the hour in between the ceremony and the reception we wanted to have snacks available for guests in picnic baskets on their rugs.
I have lots of ideas for sweet snacks already, but I need to balance them wiith some savoury. So does anyone have ideas for yummy savoury snacks that can be made ahead of time?

I like the mini sandwich idea. You can make a variety, using different cheeses, breads, meat, and toppings (pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, etc.) Mmmm….
