According to that I am petite, which is what I always thought since I’m very short. Interesting though, because I never would have categorized girls like the one in the photo to be curvy!

@Woodstock:  Same! I’m 5’7″ but get called ‘petite’ because I’m slim; I find it weird because a) I’m tall and b) y I’m curvy (35-25-35). I would absolutely NOT class myself as ‘petite’; petite to me = short

Wow! I am curvy. I used to refer to myself as “curvy” until online dating. It has a pretty strong connotation on online dating sites…

I’m curvy and ALMOST petite, at around 5’3″. Jeans are a pain. They are almost always loose in the waistband but fit great elsewhere. And length wise I’m a pinch too tall for short and petite sizes, but sometimes regular length jeans are a pinch too long!

Curvy is such a term of contention, but I always thought petite was pretty well understood. After all, in stores that have a “petites” section, they have all the same sizes as the “regular” section, so it’s somewhat obvious that it can’t have to do with how, er, wide you are.

I like to buy tops from the petites section even though I’m 5’5″ because I hate the inescapable “long-ass top” trend.

I’m right on the edge between curvy and not curvy.  I’m 5’11 so definitely not petite.  I’m also on the edge between rectangle and hourglass (it depends on the formula they use) so this is unsurprising.
