Whose Wedding is it Anyway amuses me to no end. The bridezillas crack me up. I used to think I would love to be an event planner, but after that show…I totally rethought my goals!

Im planning to go to kleinfeld it is The NYC brides rite of passage, the most famous bridal store in the world thanks to the show; my budget iis $300; how am I going to do it? I’m going on sample sale day where the dresses are as low as 800; I have a $500 dollar discount; so if cross fingers I like something cheap, I’m snagging it !

YES! Me and my mom were both watching that show on Friday and we both were amazed they didnt tell her that the cut of that dress wasn’t very flattering. . .at all. I understand about her wanting to accentuate her curves but that dress just didnt do it. . sorry.

I also love this show and was surprised that the bride last week was interested in the trumpet/mermaid style.  I do think that everyone has her own picture in her head of how she wants to look on the wedding day, and it’s hard to change someone’s opinion.  I do think that the dress would possibly looked better on her once it’s in her size.  I know I had stuff that looked terrible on me not because of the cut but because it was the sample size!

D.Marie, congrats on your weight loss!!  You could always try the dress on to get a gauge for how it fits.  Just be prepared (and you probably already are) for the bridal sizes to be different than your usual size.  I was annoyed that I had to order a dress 2 sizes bigger than my usual size in order to fit my chest!

I know this is an old thread, but wanted to put in my 2 cents.  I’ve been watching the show (they play reruns on TLC) and these girls make me so envious!!  They show the girls’ wedding dress budgets, and they’re almost all like $5000, $7500, $10,000, UNLIMITED??!!  Wowzers!   I’m so jealous, haha.  And some of them seriously act like spoiled brats– they don’t deserve such nice dresses, LOL!  Anyone else feel the same way??

well to be honest there are great deals to be had; even thought they say their lowest is $1200; I got my gown there for $599! I’m so thrilled I cried when I put it on; it’s a  matter of looking for sales

They had one on today whose budget was $2500. She didn’t tell the saleslady that, though, and ended up falling for a dress that was $6,500. She just couldn’t let it go! Wasted time for her AND the bridal shop.

I’d better watch out… I’m a "curvy" girl who wants to wear a mermaid shape!

I went there during a trunk show and worked with Camille – if you think her makeup is scary on TV…try in person! 🙂 She was nice but kept pushing me toward a ball gown style and I am a very small person so I really wanted a sheath or modified A. Honestly, the whole experience was a total let down. They don’t take great care of you and it very much feels like a car sales situation. The smaller boutiques that I went to were SO much nicer and really cared about me and the dress that I wanted. The one thing I will say is that Randy came in and brought me the only dress I liked while I was there. He is absolutely DARLING and would probably be the only reason I would have gone back. The show is fun to watch but I’m glad I know what the real experience can be like.

I love this show–just to see all the fabulous dresses!  It’s neat to see the different styles and I always look for brides who have similar body types to me so I can see what might look good.

@Stargazer:  I am so happy to hear that Randy is awesome in real life–I love him and I would be bummed if I found out he wasn’t as cool as he is on the show! Too bad the service wasn’t great…I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about the experience in "real life" and not on the show.  Still, I would love to go there, just to say I did!

really I enjoyed my experience, she was a mom type, I had two dresses  I liked, my mum liked the ivory more expensive one, I liked the white strapless ballgown, exactly what I wanted, I had great one to one service when my mom made me have second thoughts, my consultant didn’t push me towards the expensive one she knew I already loved the first one she said I had to love the other one $500 more; I dont think they’re all sharks, true they need commissions, butto be honest they know what they are doing; I went to 3 shops kleinfeld by far had the most personal service; the other shops I felt like cattle
