I’m so sorry. I know how tough it is to say goodbye to an amazing cat like this that’s been part of the family for so long. Last year we (my family) made the choice to say goodbye to our 16 year old Snowy. She basically had gotten pneumonia and we didn’t want her to suffer in her last moments. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done but I know it was the right choice for her, and I’m so glad we were all there with her to say goodbye.
Daisy is a beautiful cat and I’m sure she knows how loved she is. You’re making the tough choice to do the best thing for her, and she would love you for that.

She’s beautiful. It’s such a hard time. We just had to put our 12 yr old dog down due to kidney failure on Christmas Eve.
I’m sorry for what you’re going through but it sounds like the right thing to do for Daisy.
Cyber hugs to you.

Thanks for all of the support you guys..since tomorrow is the day tonight I’m going to go get her favorite canned food for her and spend alone time with her…today we realized she can’t even climb on to our bed like she used to be able to just a few months ago
It scares me how fast she declined since August. Hopefully the vet will let me hold her and my best friend who I grew up with is hopefully able to come since she grew up with my Daisy around to comfort her also when either one of us needed it.
I’m choosing to have her cremated and I already have a clay cast of her paws and a painted paw print from her directly. Nothing will replace “Lazy Daisy”, “”Daisy the Jet”, “Baby Daisy”, or my “Rotten Monster”..
I don’t regret finding the perfect shelter cat at all.

Aw sweet Daisy 🙁 You’re doing the right thing by easing her pain, and it sounds like she’s had a wonderful life with you. Hugs to you!

Ugh. Crying for you right now. So, so hard to do this. I have a kitty who is 21. I understand the loong history and attachment you feel for Daisy, and all that she’s been there for you in so many years as companions. I hope you had a very wonderful goodbye with her today. I guarantee you will be on my mind tomorrow. Hold her and comfort her as she slides peacefully to the freedom that awaits her on the other side.
I’m so sorry for your heartache. Just remember that you are saving her from suffering, and you have been an excellent kitty mama to her. BIG HUGS!!

@MrsSWB: My deepest condolences. I hope that you find comfort in all the great years you spent with her and can remember those tomorrow and the days in the future.

@MrsSWB: ((((hugs))))) Its so heart breaking. I actually have a tattoo of my cat’s paw print. I wish there was something I could tell you to ease things, but I know from experience that there isn’t.

I’m so sorry, this is the hardest part of having 4 legged family members – they leave us so soon. You both are so lucky to have found each other. I know it’s not much comfort, but know that she’s passing in the arms of her favorite person, and you gave her a wonderful life.

@MrsSWB: I am so sorry. It’s horrible to have to go through this but it sounds like it’s what’s best for her. I grew up my whole life with animals and I hate when that time comes to say goodbye. It’s devastating. But it sounds like you gave her a great life and she gave you a great one as well. All the best. *Hugs*

So sorry hun! She is precious and while it is a difficult decision to make it is the right one. Oh if only they could stay young and healthy and with us forever. You are in my thoughts.
