- Wedding: November 2012
I posted last week that my fi is in the process of being culled from his firm. They are basically bullying him out of his job and he’s clinging on until they pay him off. He deserves that at the very least after 6/7 years in the company.
However, it has forced us to re-evaluate where we can cut back in the wedding process. We were already going to be over budget by about £1500 but now we need to make sure that we don’t add to that debt. While we still have funds coming in we should be able to make the payments to the finacial commitments we have but we can’t really carry on with some of the plans we had yet to pay into.
So basically now I am saying goodbye to a blessing in the Chapel of the buliding (which I had from first seeing the venue dreamed of using, and was the main reason we chose the venue) Saves us £400. I wanted to have someone play the piano as we enter the room. This will now be on an ipod doc. We wanted to have food during cocktail hour. We have asked for this to be removed from our menu.
I now need to rejig the figures to work out exactly where we stand to make sure we are still on target.
What I wanted to ask, having said all this. I know that the only thing that matters is marrying the man I love… but I’m so worried I’ll walk passed the Chapel on the day and feel a bit heart wrenched that it wasn’t used. Do you think I will?
