Don’t beat yourself up too much. Was it mean? Absolutely. 🙂 But you know it was and you feel regretful and you made up. There isn’t a lot more you can do. Maybe buy him dinner or do something nice later this week. We all do things we regret. We’re human. And I’m sure almost every lady on here could point to a moment where they just wanted to choke out their guy during an argument. I know I have. It happens.

Just show him you love him.

Guilty over here too, I have let those words slip out before and it is awful.

The moment you said those words I’m sure you regretted it and perhaps can use this as a learning experience for the future. When you are even tempted to say anything similar just remember how bad it made YOU feel to utter those words and you might be quick to change.

I am glad that he knows you didn’t mean it and that things are the upswing. All we can do is learn from our mistakes and hope to not repeat them.

I’ve done it too, and so has he, in the heat of a fight. We apologized later after we sulked by ourselves for a while and we are careful not to say it, even if we are mad. Things like this happen. Just so you both can be forgiving, it should be ok.

@Cougar09: Well, sign me up for guilt, too.

“Your mother is a bitch and I will never love her and I hate her with all my heart”

Yes, that’s how I feel. Should I have said it? No. Does he forgive me? Yes. So there you go, we have all done it!
