Make sure that your arms are always away from your body and never laying flat against you.  Put your hands on your hips, lock arms with your Fiance, raise them in the air…whatever it takes to not have them straight next to you.  That’s what makes them look the worst in pictures.

What Kate said! This is so true.

Stand up straight, chest forward, shoulders back!

As far as props go…what about setting up some sort of rustic picnic scene?

@LauraVolkmer:   Just make sure you’re not hunched forward in this position.  Make sure your shoulders are always back and your chin is always up.

Anyone have a picnic basket you could borrow? I don’t know if you’d actually want to be drinking wine out in a field. Unopened bottles of wine as props would be nice but actually drinking it…what if you spilled? Depending on your photographer, they can get you to be silly and loosen up so if you’re going to do a glass of wine, do it before the shoot. And one glass only! Don’t over do it. You don’t want to look glassy eyed and buzzed in your pictures! lol

If there is a lake, what about fishing? Is there a row boat available? You’ll have a horse but what do you plan on doing with it?

Keep in mind you will not need that many props, one or two will do. Most of the pics will be up close of you two anyways so don’t stress over the props issue if you can’t find any. A good photographer will be able to guide you through it and take good photos without props.

Try googling your idea, that helps me. Not sure about the horse…since I have no idea what you have as far as the horse goes. A stable? Saddles? Carriage?

It will be great!! We had a lot of fun doings ours. However, I might disagree with the sleeveless idea if you don’t like your arms. Maybe do one outfit with sleeves, just in case you end up feeling like the sleeveless option wasn’t as flattering?
