Some people really like an over the top poofy look. I bet you could wear a smaller petticoat with it or even take some layers out of the skirt if you don’t want it to be that poofy.

@2013septemberbride:  Your dress can have so many different looks depending on whether or not you wear a petticoat (and how big it is). These are all women wearing the Planeta and it looks different each time (found via Google):

@2013septemberbride:  LOL Is that the Planeta or a different dress? Because if that’s the Planeta, she employed some serious petticoat witchcraft to get the skirt that monstrous!

It depends on the cut and style of the dress you choose.  Some like the poofiness of an A-line gown while some want the whole POOF of a princess ball gown.  Good luck, let us know what you go with!

I think poof is making a huge come back especially in tulle! I say rock it! That dress is gorgeous!

I’m guessing that half of those brides put a hoop in to make it poofier!

    Have no fear!

That first dress doesn’t even look like the Planeta! I don’t understand how she managed to change the waistline so dramatically…

I don’t think that level poufiness is terrible, it’s certainly not my thing. I don’t think your dress will look like that when it comes in.

@2013septemberbride I’m also a Planeta bride, and one of the things I loved about the dress was how smoothly it went from bodice to skirt – not with the giant poof like in the pictures you posted.

I’m also pretty tall (5’9″ and I’ll be wearing 3.5″ heels), so the skirt doesn’t “bulge” when it hits the ground. If you’re overly concerned, maybe see if your tailor can take out some of the layers of tulle underneath (because lord knows there’s about a million under there!)
