I would not let a disembodied voice dictate where I am living 🙂

    They need to get out!

@MrsFuzzyFace: Sentimental reasons.  People don’t want to be chased out of their own house. Unsure of where to go.  Those would be my reasons.  I hope nothing like that every happens though.  I’d be terrified.

You don’t have an option for “call a psychiatrist” lol. I think I would assume I was going crazy. Although probably the first few times it happened I would try to convince myself I was hearing things. I actually DID here a scary disembodied voice once (not in my home– on a random tennis court in the middle of a desserted park and i could’ve sworn the guy said something RIGHT in my ear). I haven’t forgotten about it but I’ve mostly convinced myself I must have just imagined it or something?

    Call a doctor.

Seriously. Hallucinations can be medically treatable and can indicate a mental disorder. I would want help. There are entire organizations for people who suffer from auditory hallucinations who have or have not been diagnosed with something mental illness.

Don’t get me wrong – I was raised Catholic and that garbage would scare the living $hit out of me and my brain is trained to automatically go to satan on this one. But I would still get the f out of the house and find a doctor ASAP.

@CorgiTales:  +1. I don’t believe in that stuff, so I would definitely think I was g oing crazy if I started hearing voices.

My dad’s house was haunted when it was first built. The ghost activity gradually subsided…it wasn’t as terrifying as you might expect.

I agree with ya, you wouldn’t have to ask me twice!

I don’t mess around with that stuff.

I’ve lived in two houses I am convinced were haunted.   Not to the point where I was hearing scary voices though!  Just little uccurances here and there.  I think if that happened I would be out of there!  If I owned the house I probably would start calling psychics and sprinkling holy water around though.

I really thought this was going to be a thread about schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders, not ghosts.
