I agree. I swear since I got engaged that my memory has gotten worse. We just have so many things we have to think about and try to remember and organize!

It seems like there are so many little details to figure out, especially as we get closer.  I think this is especially true since at the beginning, you get the big details figured out, so all that’s left is the small stuff.

Do you have a to do list that you’ve put together for yourself?  Or people who are helping you who can remind you all the things you forget?  I find that for me, the only way to organize myself when I’m feeling crazed is to sort out everything on paper to get it out of my brain a bit.

But, yeah…I definitely agree…the closer we get, the more overwhelming it all becomes.

@lambobble:  Sorry this won’t let me unitalicize for some reason.  Anywho…I can only imagine the level of chaos accompanying a highly DIY wedding.  Totally impressive, and I’d imagine that does a great job of adding some ahhh feelings to the whole process.

I think what ultimately happens is that prioritizing comes into play.  Then everything that NEEDS to get done will.  Or I’d like to think so. 🙂

I have two pieces of paper on my entry table at all times. One is the current RSVP list and the other is my checklist. My checklist has EVERYTHING, even mundane little details. On the margin, I put the date it needs to be completed by and I think of it kind of as homework. If I don’t have time to complete it, Fiance will get around to it and cross it off. Without those two lists, I am almost entirely certain my world would crumble haha.

@lambobble:  We were at Bayliss Park Hall in CB, UNO was def on my short list and the garden is so pretty!  Who is doing your alterations?  We have to do after wedding photos as we didn’t really get any and I have to get my dress hemmed.  I am so excited to finally have another Omaha bride on here.

Make some lists girl!!! You just have to find what works for you to get organized. Maybe post its to remind you what things are for etc. Lables and lists are your best friend. Although I think that as they day gets closer the more scatterbrained we all will get.

@lambobble:  Thanks!  I originally went to a lady in Ralston and she ruined my original teal length dress 🙁
