I went to the as seen on TV or tv emporium (i don’t remember) with my SO this week and saw the Schticky. It’s basically a reusable/washable lint roller that picks up everything. He has both a cat and a boxer and the hairs stick like crazy on my black work pants, work out pants, etc. It’s $20 online/by phone and $40 in store *yikes*
The commercial’s hosted by the Shamwow guy (who’s now out of jail) and wow that thing really is sticky!! in the video commercial he threw the thing against a wall and it stuck. In the store, yes that thing actually did stick on the wall! It’s as sticky as advertised but obviously in store i couldn’t wash it so i’m wondering, any of you other bees have the Schticky and does it really work as advertised?

Haven’t tried it, but I have seen the commercial where he says the “p” word (vaginal nickname) and jokes about how he was arrested.

Darling Husband really wants one, but I figured it wouldn’t work as well as it showed on t.v. There are hardly any reviews for it yet on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Schticky-As-Seen-On-TV/product-reviews/B007L53XC4/ref=sr_1_1_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1), so we’re going to wait to try it until it’s been out longer. We have two cats/two dogs, so definitely understand the hair situation. Has your SO used a cloth lint brush (like this http://www.amazon.com/Evercare-Lint-Brush-Magik/dp/B000QRFNGS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1339317527&sr=8-2&keywords=cloth+lint+roller)? It’s the only thing we’ve used that works well (we bought whatever version Walmart carries)– sometimes it does miss the little hairs though. I love it for our furniture, especially microfiber pieces. PM me if you do end up getting the schticky! 🙂

I’ve heard that it works reall well. I wanted to get one but then Dear Fiance brought up a good point – when you rinse it off, all of the hair is going to go down the drain and clog things up! Unless you can figure out another way to get the hair from going down the drain, I’d be careful 🙂

I’ve been meaning to try that product. My american bulldog leaves short little white hairs EVERYWHERE!

My grandmother had an almost identical product maybe 15 years ago. It worked WONDERS. With hers, it was easy to wash and kept being sticky. When she died 11 years ago, my mom brought it back and it continued to work for another few years.
The washing made it smooth like silk under water, and then as soon as you dried it, it was sticky again. Super cool.

@CEtoSAHM: my SO’s given up on the hair since he grew up with them haha, Yes i’ve tried one of those but it was such a butt when i went the wrong way and all the stuff on the brush dragged onto what i was wearing.
@urchin: hmm maybe if we got like a sink strainer type of thing? that’s a really good point i didn’t consider.
