I know this is nothing to do with weddings but, do any of you have any delicious pumpkin pie recipes you could share?
Fiance and I are Brits living in Canada and feel as though we should embrace Thanksgiving weekend with something traditional, sugary and totally bad for us : ) We’ve never baked one before though so looking for ideas of where to start….

I am a HUGE pumpkin pie person. I look forward to the fall every year so I can eat it. My newfound love (well, from last year)… pumpkin cheesecake! SO good.

I have one!! Mmm pumpkin pie!
1 1/2 cups pure pumpkin
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup evaporated milk (or heavy cream)
Beat eggs lightly, add pumpkin, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and salt, stir until well combined. Blend in milk. Pour filling into a pie shell. Bake at 425 F for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 F and bake 30-35 min longer, or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool before serving.

Yum! My only advice for Pumpkin Cheesecake- do not try being helathy and using “fat free cream cheese”…. disaster! so disgusting. If you’re going to make it, make it the right way! 🙂

Also- another version, Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie! I made it two or three times last fall, it was a huge hit!
