Sculptural rings? Does anyone have one, RHR or eRing, and who designed it?

Your post reminded me of another bee who goes by the name longtimemrs.  She had a custom ring made by David Klass which in my opinion is very ornate and possibly along the lines of what you are looking for.  Her particular ring was of a dragon and phoenix.

Heres the thread with more information if you are interest:

notmeeither :  Yep! I have a dragon and phoenix ring. It’s a right hand ring, 14K white and rose gold. It was previously set with a Montana Sapphire, but I recently switched the stone for a blue zircon. David Klass made it for me. This is not a piece that is for everyone, but I adore it. The design holds a lot of meaning for me, and I wear this ring pretty much every day.

Here are some pics. These are all with the old stone, as I haven’t taken many pics yet with the new one, and I don’t have any of them saved on this computer. (Must remedy that!)  Here is a link to another thread where you can see pictures from David Klass that show the new stone:

It’s a very detailed piece. The dragon curves around the stone, and his scaling goes all the way underneath the stone. The ridge on his spine curves organically, along the line of his body. David made the tips of the phoenix’s wings and the dragon’s horns into prongs to hold my stone. And the dragon and phoenix tails go all the way down the sides of the ring to meet underneath.

There is another jewelery company called Greenlake Jewelry. I’ve never worked with them, but they have done some amazing, detailed, and beautiful pieces. I love going to their site and looking at all the creative settings. I think there is a bee on here who has a peacock ring made by them. I’m sorry, I am drawing a total blank as to her name, but that peacock ring is amazingly gorgeous!

I contacted Greenlake some time ago on a previous project (something not nearly as detailed as my dragon and phoenix ring). The price they quoted me was about twice what David Klass quoted. So that’s why I ended up doing both of my custom projects with him.

j9marie :  Thanks for thinking of me! 🙂

EDIT: The bee with the peacock ring is earlybirdwing. I tried to find a picture of her ring, but I was unsuccessful.

As far as tree branch designs go, here is mine:

Alexandrite and platinum: sculpted from wax, then cast using the lost wax technique by Wexford Jewelers (in Michigan, but they do a ton of online commissions too). I highly recommend them for organic designs, however, I am not sure how they are with CAD work. Best of luck!

I was interested in an atomic designed ring that actually spins. It was a starburst design with a central stone and bezeled gems that became the halo and spun around it. Not practical but way cool!

They also also do other designs that are just as fab! I want something of theirs one day! Good luck! 🙂
