Hey Bees, I could use your help! I am looking for seafoam, chiffon bridesmaid dresses for a couple of bridesmaids. I keep running into a sizing/fabric issue (need sizes 6-28). Here is my Pinterest inspiration, if you are curious. I have 6 bridesmaids which I would like in charcoal grey and seafoam with my Maid/Matron of Honor in dusty purple.
For example:

Love this Donna Morgan chiffon dress and the variations of it – but it only goes to a size 18. Not helpful.

Both of these Alfred Sung colors (seaside & fresh respectively) could work, but come in peau de soie or dupioni silk. Not helpful.
We did some preliminary shopping at Alfred Angelo, and found great dresses available in the gray and dusty purple colors I am using for my wedding:

But AA does not carry seafoam. I even considered just finding seafoam options for my smaller maids, but would it look like I have them in colors sorted by size? That’s not good, lol.
Part of the reason I wanted different styles and colors was so that everyone looks unique but cohesive (same fabric, length, bouquet, necklace, similar hairstyles) but you lose that comparing bridesmaids in their dresses thing. My friends are all almost 30 and ain’t nobody got time for that! Any help will be greatly appreciated!

@MissCoCo: I might keep looking, but if all else fails, I really like the grey dress.

Have you looked at getting convertible dresses? There’s a seller on Etsy that I was going to use and her stuff is GORGEOUS! It’s also really affordable. 🙂
Here’s the link to her shop

@swisea01: Thanks, the stock pics of all their dresses aren’t that cute but they were nice in person. The halter straps can also be worn a few different ways to give me the variety I like.

The grey is really pretty, and looks really good with the dusty purple. I think the green and purple might been too strong of a contrast. If you have the maids in grey, maybe have them find seafoam green shoes (it’s a hot colour right now) and accessorize with the green as well.

@PacificMrs: Yes! I actually have highly considered that but everyone was concerned the fabric wouldn’t be forgiving enough on all my curvy ladies. I may just order one for myself, slap some Spanx on and see how it goes!

@MissCoCo: I am not exactly sure what the largest size in this dress is, but I know they offer plus sizes and it comes in so many colors. Here is the link so you can check it out.

Not sure if they have your color (the website isn’t 100% helpful with all of the colors they offer) but I went with Jasmine Bridal’s B2 collection since it goes up to size 34 and they have a wide variety of styles.

@MapleLeafMel: That is a great idea! I just may go that route if I can’t find the right dresses.

@MissCoCo: Actually the convertible gowns would be even more forgiving on the curvy gals! She also makes plus size dresses for an additional $10 or something like that, but if I remember correctly her gowns are good for up to size 16? If you go to her Facebook, you can see tons of pictures of curvier gals in her dresses. 🙂

@MissCoCo: have you looked at bill levkoff?
My bridesmaids range in size from 6 to 22 and each one is wearing a chiffon dress in the style that looks best on them. Colors in your pallet would be, victorian lilac, pewter and glacier. good luck

@PacificMrs: Oooh, I am definitely going to investigate this some more. And the price, is definitely right. These look so comfortable, it will be October during the day outside in Savannah and who knows how hot it will be!

@plchansen: I haven’t explored Bill yet, thanks so much for the tip! I think the chiffon dresses in multiple styles are going to be so flattering! What color did you go with?

@MissCoCo: You sound just like us!! We were having dress issues, since my BMs ranged from size 0 to size 22. I told them to pick out chiffon knee-length dresses in any color they want, and offered the option of J. Crew dresses but of course they could choose dresses from any store.
We didn’t discuss colors, but it (in a strange coincidence!!!) turned out that they chose 3 styles in 3 different colors. (In very similar colors to what you’re describing!! seafoam green, gray, and blush)
Here’s a photo of how it worked out:
