We are having a seated/plated 4 course meal. But in honour of my fiance’s asian heritage, we want to have a seafood/appetizer table during our cocktail hour. Since people will be walking around and not neccarily sitting down yet, we would prefer finger foods (ie, not crablegs). I have thought of ‘shrimp, calamari, hors doerves, fresh spring rolls, veggies, cheeses) CAN ANYONE THINK OF ANY OTHER APPROPRIATE SEAFOOD SUGGESTIONS…

Do want Asian only seafood appetizers or any seafood in general? Have you browsed the appetizer lists of Asian restaurants in your area or online for ideas?
Also, will you have any appetizers (or other dishes) that are not seafood, in case someone really doesn’t like seafood (many don’t) or is allergic (shellfish is considered to be a very common allergy even if you don’t know a single person who has it)?

Please be sure to have some options that are NOT shellfish… I ended up pissing off the mother of the groom at a rehearsal dinner because I wouldn’t touch most of the food she’d prepared. Could only eat the stuffed peppers and cheese cubes. (I’m not allergic, but it makes me sick if I eat crab, scallops, shrimp, etc.)
